Horse Racing There are regular meetings throughout the year on two of the best country racetracks in Australia with patron facilities to match.  Scone Race Club Scone Race Track in Scone   Muswellbrook Race Club  Skellatar Park, Racecourse Road, Muswellbrook Phone: 65 411 699  Fax: 65 43 4553 Email: secretary@mbrookraceclub.com.au Web:  www.racenet.com.au/Muswellbrook The two biggest race events in Upper Hunter Country are the Scone Cup in May which finishes up the Scone Horse Festival and the Muswellbrook Cup in November, traditionally held on the same day as the Melbourne Cup.
Camp Drafting Throughout the year, almost monthly, somewhere in Upper Hunter Country there will be a Bushman's Carnival and/or rodeo.Please check the events calendar for when these may occur. Enjoy the privilege of watching some of the best stockhorses and riders in Australia display their skills in stock handling as well as the thrills and spills of the rough-riding events
Polocrosse and Polo Polo is a winter sport and carnivals and championships are played at the Belltrees Polo fields - Waverley Road Gundy and at Ellerston Estate. They are a regular featire in Upper Hunter Country with some events being invitation only. Upper Hunter Country is the home of some of the top ranking teams in Australia for Polo and Polocrosse.
Horse Studs Horse Studs are not open to the public. The only way visitors can tour through one of the studs is by booking a tour with Upper Hunter Tours.  Once a year, some studs will open their gates to the public in a fundraising effort to help the local community.
