When: 6 July 2019, 9.00am Where: Jefferson Park, Aberdeen This year the Games will be celebrating their 20th Anniversary! The Games begin with a spectacular parade of bands, clan representatives and others that leads into the Massed Band Salute and Chieftain's Address that officially opens the day. The event offers fun for all the whole family, including Highland and country dancing and music, Pipe Band displays, Strong man events with the Tartan Warriors, as well as tug-of-war, egg tosses, three-legged races, and the famed Kilted Dash. http://www.aberdeenhighlandgames.com/
When: 06 July 2018, 8:00am - 12:00pm Where: Lions Park, Denman The Denman Farmers & Artisans Market is a predominantly producers only market in the Upper Hunter Valley, NSW Australia. Fresh fruit & vegetables, nuts, oils and olives, meat, cheese & dairy, seafood, preserves, cakes & pre-packaged foods and wine. Lots of locally grown plants, seeds and seedlings as well as locally grown cut flowers. Local art and craft with the maker/producer at the stall.

When: 09 July 2019, 6.30pm Where: Scone Arts & Crafts Hall, Scone The Lecture: Initial consideration focuses on the period of Neolithic times (4000BC) through to the Ming Dynasty in 1368 and traces the establishment of Imperial Weaving and Embroidery Workshops producing regulated Court Costume and decorative textiles for Imperial Palaces. The technological and artistic skills required for this “industry” to flourish will be explored as will the relationship of the Imperial Workshops with commercial weavers and embroiderers. Particular focus will be given to the development within the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) Dynasties regarding the Imperial Workshops that were…

This year the show will be celebrating it's 110th anniversary.
When: 12 October 2019, 10.30am Where: Denman Football Oval, Denman The ever-entertaining Denman Pig Races will be held again this October. The races are a fun-filled family day, featuring the famous Noah's Racing Pigs plus market stalls, rides and laser tag for the kids. The pig racing promises to be great entertainment! Money raised from the event goes towards the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. Food and bar facilities will be available on the day.
