When: March 11 to 13, 2022
Where: Scone Arts and Crafts Centre
The Scone Festival exists for the ‘love of words’, and to create stimulating, informal and intimate events that spark conversations. SLF is the only readers and writers festival in the Upper Hunter and has two major events each year: the Literary Festival in the second week of March and the Patrick White Oration in November.
Events will include the Bush Poets Breakfast, three fantastic writing competitions, lively discussions and debates, literary panels and of course the gem of our festival, our official festival dinner.
The program will be confirmed later in the year and tickets will be on sale from November 2021.
Established in 2013 by a group of like-minded individuals who decided to invite some authors to discuss their books over a series of literary lunches, it has become a much-anticipated event on the literary calendar. In 2018, the festival was ranked in the prestigious Qantas list of 101 things to see and do – the only literary event to be listed.
